Diane Foy is the Director of Public Relations & Social Media for Skylar Entertainment, a boutique PR firm for the Arts & Entertainment industry formed in 2004.  With Diploma’s in Entertainment Management, Journalism, Make Up Artistry and Professional Photography along with exciting careers in each area, Diane brings a vast experience to her Public Relations profession.

Diane kicked off her career in the 90s in Vancouver, BC as a photographer specializing in fashion and personality portraits. After a move to Toronto, ON, she began an extended career as a make-up artist. Being immersed in the fashion and music scenes, Diane started to desire a more active role in the business side of the industry.

Diane’s lifetime love of music, film, and all things creative lead to embracing opportunities in journalism, magazine editing, record label marketing and music promotion.  Each experience lead to discovering that publicity was her natural and inevitable career choice.  Diane’s proficiency hinges upon the genuine enthusiasm for each individual project and her passion is the driving force behind her positive and professional attitude.

Diane has been featured as an Industry expert in CanWest News (Image & career advice to Canadian Idol contestants), Indie Can Radio on XM (Industry Insider), fyi Music (Queen of the Industry) and Spill Magazine (Breaking Into the Biz column).  She has also been a Public Relations and Social Media speaker, presenter, panelist and/or mentor at such events as the North By North East Festival & Conference, Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards Conference and the Canadian Hotel Marketing & Sales Executives Association.
